Folklore - Tel Aviv, King George St
In the heart of King George at twilight, I noticed a group of young people dressed in traditional outfits. The passers by directed their gazes toward them and stared, as did I. A short conversation with them revealed that they were members of a Turkish dance ensemble and that their presence in the land of milk and honey bore the purpose of participating in the Israel Festival. It was difficult to ignore the combination of warm colours and the conflicting patterns. o

The Dress - Tel Aviv, Dizengoff street
This fair maiden's dress sense symbolises, in my eyes, all that is good about summer in Tel Aviv. The colour, the cut and the volume of the lower half render this the perfect dress as the heat rages outside. o
